Article: ‘On The Right Track’ With Sinclair Antennas At RSSI 2019
Sinclair Technologies joined forces with the Railway Systems Suppliers, Inc. and participated in the 59th Annual RSSI Railway Interchange. It was held between September 21st to 24th, 2019 in Minneapolis, MN. For 59 years, RSSI has established itself as the premier show in the rail and rail transit, communication and signal industry. The 2019 RSSI Railway Interchange Exhibition was important for Sinclair Technologies as it was the only event focusing on bringing C&S suppliers together with their rail and rail transit customers.
Positive Train Control (PTC) systems seem to be mostly built out on the show. It was an insightful opportunity for rail and transit managers and suppliers to have input into the development of Compliance Manuals PTC systems. Sinclair had a successful run at the event as we showcased our mobile antennas and RF signal conditioning products specifically for the transit industry. Many participants mentioned that they visited our booth as a means to keep up-to-date with new antenna and RF signal conditioning products, as Sinclair is the world leader. Many booth visitors were impressed with our case study on how Sinclair ensured the North American Railways stay ‘on the right track’ through Positive Train Control.
Most attendees were interested in our Excaliber Series rail antennas, which are built to operate in extreme conditions like harsh weather, high-speed travel, and vibration. At the Sinclair booth, we featured some of our key products targeted at the rail and transportation market, including the TRANSEON Series, Yagis, Dipoles, SW series, SM2600 etc. We received good responses to the SM2601 and SM701 series, and most of the conversations were about how customers could adopt these products in their communications systems.
Sinclair continuously innovates to stay abreast of the antenna and filter product requirements and provide solutions for data collection, tracking & controlling on a real-time basis, and supporting multiple services. Many tech companies are diversifying and finding ways to plug into a variety of segments including communication, monitoring, detection, as well as data analysis and security. While the future is still unclear, the RSSI Railway Interchange is a hotbed for innovation.
It was an illustrious trade show for the railroad industry and we were glad to be able to participate tightly with our valued customers. Sinclair Technologies looks forward to the upcoming show at the RSSI Railway Interchange next year!
